Review of draft letter:
- It's a bit long. (Todd's linear thinking)
  - We should put an executive summary up front.
- We should send to all vendors already doing IBIS 4.
  - Any of them not supporting?
    - Apache, ApSim, Cadence, Ansoft, Mentor have IBIS 4.
    - Silvaco?
- Should point out that:
  - It protects process info.
  - AMS support in IBIS since Jan 2003.
- Concept:
  - If we didn't have s2ibis2, IBIS would have stalled
  - Without this the future will be stalled
  - Could make analogy to C, which similarly relies on a standard lib
- Don't want to make people think we are automating.
  - But partial automation is not impossible.
- Don't emphasize "AMS"
  - It's a bridge to AMS, supports others meanwhile.
  - Use the word "SPICE" here and there
- Change "IBIS 2010" to ... (Todd was testing us)
- Make clear that we are not asking for a lot of work, we want to
make sure it works in their tool.
- Use MSWord, watch out for edit history.

The letter is only for EDA vendors. Should we ask IC suppliers?
  - Easier to sell to EDA companies if chip vendors on board.
  - Already have Intel.
  - Freescale? IBM? Xilinx? LSI?
  - Should be a little more prepared before we go to them.
  - Can Cadence give us a customer list?
    - Customers using macromodels are system houses.
    - Different than asking IC makers to use a new model style
  - Invite IC vendors at DesignCon?
  - So far, EDA companies aren't complaining.
    - So we won't worry about it, but won't keep it secret

AR: Mike find Silvaco contact
